Conrad Grunewald Shapes Up For Opening Race Weekend In Long Beach...

A big smile was on the face of Formula DRIFT driver Conrad Grunewald as he brought his Chevrolet Camaro drift machine back into the paddock during the third session of media ride-alongs yesterday.

"You can see the rubber laid down, very close to the wall," stated Richard Kong, crew chief for the Hankook Camaro. " We can see from the grandstands where Conrad is hitting his line. He looks really good."

While speaking with some press, Conrad was explaining that he is very happy with how the car was behaving and expressed his appreciation for the Chevrolet power and Hankook performance tires.

"I feel really good about the race car and heading into this weekend," said Conrad Grunewald. "The team has done so much work during the off season both with preparations for the car and making time for more media opportunities. It's a lot of effort but I couldn't be more excited about my program and what we are doing with our partners."

The car sounded amazing and the team was in bright spirits, ready to get the season started. This will be a big weekend for all the drift teams as Formula D takes to the streets in what is sure to be a sold out venue. Good luck Conrad!!
